does it show an error requester? |
No, no error requesters, nothing in fact, just back to Workbench without warning. There doesn't seem to be any specific point in the game that causes it either, I was playing for 5 minutes on the first attempt, 30 seconds on the second attempt, 3 or 4 minutes on the third attempt.
The result however is always the same. |

very strange
which slave version do you use? |
I'll give you a bit of history, I've had Amiga's since 1987 when I had my A500 and Tenstar pack and I've had the A1200 since Nov. 1992 but I've only just in the last few months got back into using it so I'm kinda catching up with stuff.
To that end, I've just upgraded to a CF card solution (my own, not an e-bay one) and installed the latest version of WHDLoad this week and then downloaded the installers for the Tenstar pack games and a few others that I own like LED Storm, Chase HQ etc. So all the slave files I've used are the ones currently available on WHDLoad.de which as far as I can tell for Wizball is version 1.2 (04.03.04).
I haven't even had chance to register WHDLoad yet but I fully intend to on the 11th of October. Being able to play my A500 games on my A1200 is just brilliant :-)

at the moment I have no idea what could be the cause here...
you could try some options like NOCACHE, NORESINT to see if something changes |
I'd already tried NOCACHE and that had no effect, I've just tried NORESINT on its own and with NOCACHE and they've had no effect. (I'm adding them into the tooltypes on the icon). |

ps: i'm on vacation until october 12th |

Hi, I've uploaded the .whdl_register file. No worries about being on holiday, I'm in no rush. I didn't realise you were the creator of WHDLoad until now though. Congratulations on such a great piece of work and thanks for your efforts :-) |

can please try the attached slave? |
Hi, It seemed to work for a little longer but I think the problem remains. I've uploaded a new .whdl_register file for you to examine. If you need anything else, let me know.
Thanks

I can confirm that this problem still remains.
Just tried Wizball on my machine. A1200, 68030 (ACA-1233/40), WHDLoad 18.1. Same situation here. |
This issue remains on WHDLoad 18.2. |

The problem remains. Using NoVBRMove stops the game from exiting after playing for a while. The QuuitKey (F10) doesn't function. Amiga has to be reset...at least it has for my real A4000.
I cannot seem to upload, so I am not able to include my Dump files. |

It's functioning well with my CSPPC/zer060. Only ToolTypes I'm using are PRELOAD, PreLoadSize, and Slave. Functioning great...played over 30 minutes, several times. Not any crashes or unexpected exits. I'll keep testing but I think you found it. *clapping* |

I can confirm the new slave works perfectly, just completed the game. \o/
Many thanks! |

For the record: I am running the slave with the 1994 re-release of Wizball. |
