This install applies to "Dance Trance" © 1992 Interactive.
This install requires WHDLoad and DIC to be in the path.
These programs can be found in the WHDLoad package.
To install from a different drive than DF0: select installation mode Expert.
The installed demo requires 0.5 MB ChipMem (+0.9 MB OtherMem for preload).
It can be quit by pressing F10 (key can be changed with Tooltype "QuitKey=").
- Full load from HD
- All OS stuff patched (AddIntServer, AllocMem, Trackdisk stuff)
- Byte write to volume register in replayer fixed
- Copperlists fixed
- Self-modifying code fixed
- NewIcon (created by me)
- Source code included as usual
- Quit option that works on 68000 machines (default key is 'F10')
And here's the patch for the first Dance Trance music disk.
Even though there's not much code here creating this patch took a
while as a lot of OS stuff had to be emulated/recoded. The code is
also kinda ugly which was actually the reason why I finished the
patch for Dance Trance 2 first as it was much more fun to do.
I do not like the code in this demo at all but at least no major
problems had to be fixed. All copperlists were quite buggy though
and had to be fixed.
Enjoy the demo from HD.
